Server Maintenance

That Time Again

It comes every so often when you need to keep your sever up to date, unfortunately, as the server was new, the learning curve is complete and before its too late, we are going to format the server. This is so its fresh, otherwise, as time gets on, it would become more unstable. Which of course, with clients on board, we don't want.

We have a Linux Server, running ........... AH HA I saw you noting that down... so you can prepare your hacking tools... I'd like to tell you everything, but some of you are naughty, and we cant be having that can we.

I've made a full backup, which took several hours to complete.

Linux Servers

Linux servers are reliable, robust, secure - they also run most of the web you browse on today, I think famously Google run on Linux - don't hold me to that.

Microsoft never have really got hold of the web market. But that's because they smell. I know a petty comment, but I'm not a huge fan of their monopoly. They are evil money hungry mugs. Cant Blame Bill Gates, he's just a shareholder now...
